BOXO Projects Residency Installation, PROJECT DETAILS WRITTEN BELOW.

An installation synthesizing video, sound, light and natural objects. It deals with human interactions with site and their effect on climate change. The infrared video takes a northern aspect, considering the direction which research indicates is the future of Joshua Tree distribution and migration. The rocks, quarried locally and then purchased at a remote site, are being returned to the landscape, representing systems of exchange and capital.

A continued exploration into understanding my place in nature. The work investigates a state of heightened sensitivity which allows external forces to be perceived and to guide one toward a universal siting. This investigation engages with the surroundings through forms of movement, but also through stillness, to recognize, appreciate and interpret stimuli for further exploration.
